  • Imagine yourself to be a bird sitting on the edge of your nest on the tree. Nest has eggs in it. The little boy next door curious about it is trying to climb the tree to see what is inside the nest. Draw the scene in pencil from your point of view. (50 Marks)
  • Draw a composition using 3 shapes ( Circle, Triangle, Rectangle etc ) each used twice in the composition that can be used as a logo. Colour with an appropriate colour scheme. (25 Marks)
  • On a table next to wall two thick books are standing vertically with one pencil box atop these, Light is thrown at an angle of 45 degrees from the left. Draw the whole composition with shade and shadow. (25 Marks)

  • Imagine You are the chairperson for a committee meeting in progress around a large oval table, attended by 12 members. Being chairperson you are at the head of the table. 3rd person on your right is standing and making his presentation to the committee. All members are listening and also having some biscuits and a cup of tea. Draw a pencil sketch of the scene from your viewpoint. (50 Marks)
  • Design a symbol for an architectural firm which will be used as their logo. Use only straight and/or curved lines. Draw the symbol in the given space and Colour using three colours of your choice.  (25 Marks)
  • You have six used automobile tyres with you. Make an interesting looking sculpture using them. Draw the sculpture with shade and shadows as viewed from one of the angles with light falling on it from other angles.  (25 Marks)

  • Imagine yourself to be an Umpire for a Badminton match, sitting on a high chair. A doubles match is going on with the badminton hall packed with spectators. Draw a sketch as to how you, as an umpire, would see the court, the players and the hall. (50 Marks)
  • Design and draw in the given space a square graphic composition to be used on Tee Shirts for BHARAT JODO Campaign. Colour the design using the maximum of four colours.

The words (Bharat Jodo) should NOT be used within the square graphic as it will be printed separately on the Tee shirt. (25 Marks)

  • Arrange a bucket, a tumbler, an earthen pot, a piece of cloth and rectangular box to make an interesting, stable arrangement like a still life. Draw a pencil sketch of the composition showing light and shade in the given space.  (25 Marks)

  • Imagine that you are given 4 cubical concrete blocks, 6 wooden logs and a thin piece of cloth for making a sculptural composition. Make a three-dimensional sketch to show your composition. Show the effect of shades & shadows. (25 Marks)

  • Imagine you are sitting on a bench at a small-town railway station. While a train stops at the platform with people trying to get out of the train. There is a soft drink stall to your right and the train indicator in your frame of view, Draw the scene in pencil as you would see with at least 5 people in your sketch doing different activities. (50 Marks)
  • Using curved and straight lines, design and draw in the given space, a two-dimensional composition to indicate “Peace”. Colour the composition in a colour scheme of your choice. (25 Marks)
  • You are provided with a small clock, a talcum powder tin, a can of a soft drink and a roll of paper. Make an interesting three-dimensional composition. Draw the composition in pencil and show the effect of shades and shadows. (25 Marks)

  • Imagine you are studying in a School of Architecture. Your School decides to manufacture a designed student Architect’s bag to be put on sale for student Architects in India. Design a suitable and attractive logo for the student Architect’s bag. Colour your logo using primary colours only. (25 Marks)
  • Four pieces out of eight pieces of the round birthday cake are remaining on a plate with the knife in the plate and two extinguished candles near the plate. Draw a three-dimensional composition of these objects showing shades and shadows. (25 Marks)

  • Using basic primary shapes design a bedsheet for the children’s bedroom. Draw and colour your design in the given space. Each shape should be used maximum two times and not more than four colours should be used.  (25 Marks)
  • Create a three-dimensional composition on a table using one empty bowl, two forks, one spoon, one glass for drinking water and one napkin. Light is falling on the composition from the left-hand side. Draw the composition in the given space showing shades and shadows on it. (25 Marks)

  • Use six candles, one square box and three prisms to create a stable three-dimensional form. Also, draw the shadows cast on your 3D composition by lighting one of the candles. (25 Marks)

  •  Choose any room in your house. Imagine your height is reduced to around 40 cms. How will you see the furniture layout of that room from your viewpoint? (50 Marks)
  • Create and draw in given space a pattern using basic geometrical shapes (e.g.Square, hexagon, circle, triangle, etc.) for a border around the entrance door to an old haveli (Mansion). The pattern you will draw is to be repeated in a linear arrangement to form the border. Colour the pattern using any three colours of your choice. (Please draw only the pattern and not entire door) (25 Marks)
  • Three cones are kept inverted on each other with a rectangular plate in between them. The light source on the right at an angle of 45 degrees. Show the shadow pattern on this 3-dimensional form. (25 Marks)

  • Draw a logo for a college festival using circles of 4 different sizes. You can use as many numbers of circles as you want. Use 4 colours to colour the composition.(25 Marks)
  • Using the objects – 3 notebooks, one orange and two walking sticks create a stable form and draw its view from an interesting angle. Then show the effect of light thrown at your form from the left direction and draw the shadow cast by it on the ground.  (25 Marks)
